Carnival of San Gimignano

The most beautiful Carnival of Tuscan is made to San Gimignano!

Folklore parades of floats of papier-mâché with music, confetti and costumed groups. A carnival for children and adults, made jokes, masks and lots of fun too! This carnival is one of the oldest of Tuscany, born in the Middle Ages and is still alive in the population.

There are two districts which collide for the best mask: the Maremma and the Piazzetta.

Both build two carts in the district and one that makes the most beautiful masks and more immersive entertainment wins, with the joy and disappointment of the local population.
