Location

Our bed and breakfast is located just in the historical centre of San Gimignano and can be reached by foot or by car in order to load or unload or for different needs.

Just 200 meters away there are 2 secure car parks (P3-P4 Bagnaia) and a quiet free parking (no fee). The close by parking area is the only one which can offer free spaces and will be highly recommended by the staff.

San Gimignano is the ideal starting point to visit the main Tuscan cities, in fact Florence is about 40 Km far away, Siena and Volterra 30 Km, Pisa 90 Km and Lucca 100 Km. Moreover it is possible to spend a day at the seaside as you can reach Castiglioncello, Bolgheri, Cecina, etc. driving for about 80 Km.

Car

If you are coming from Pisa: take the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno (FI-PI-LI) and exit at Empoli Ovest towards Ponte a Elsa. Continue on the main road 429 in the direction of Certaldo and follow the signs for San Gimignano.

If you are coming from Siena: take the Siena-Firenze towards Firenze, exit at Poggibonsi Nord and follow signs to San Gimignano.

If you are coming from Florence: exit at Firenze Impruneta (A1) and take the highway to Siena (right after the toll). We recommend you to exit in Poggibonsi Nord, then follow the signs for San Gimignano.

If you arrive from Milan: take the A1 Milano-Napoli direction south. Exit at Firenze Impruneta and take the highway to Siena. In Siena, take the Siena-Firenze towards Firenze, exit at Poggibonsi Nord and follow signs to San Gimignano.

If you come from Rome: take the A1 Milano-Napoli northbound. Exit at Valdichiana and follow the signs for Siena. In Siena, take the Siena-Firenze towards Firenze, exit at Poggibonsi Nord and follow signs to San Gimignano.

Train

By train from north:

Milano-Bologna-Firenze

• Firenze-Empoli
• Empoli-Siena (get off at the station of Poggibonsi/San Gimignano)
• Bus to San Gimignano

Genova-Pisa

• Pisa-Empoli
• Empoli-Siena (get off at the station of Poggibonsi/San Gimignano)
• Bus to San Gimignano

By train from south:

Roma-Firenze (change in Chiusi/Chianciano Terme)

• Chiusi/Chianciano Terme-Siena
• Siena-Empoli (get off at the station of Poggibonsi/San Gimignano)
• Bus to San Gimignano

Roma-Pisa

• Pisa-Empoli
• Empoli-Siena (get off at the station of Poggibonsi/San Gimignano)
• Bus to San Gimignano

The nearest railway station is in Poggibonsi, from there you can take the bus or taxi that are right in front of the train station.
